Our Story and Why We Started Miracell Homecare

Miracell Homecare was founded by husband-and-wife healthcare professionals Ohioma Akhibi and Osekhae Akhibi, who together bring over 30 years of combined NHS experience.

The idea for Miracell Homecare came from first-hand experience of seeing vulnerable individuals discharged from hospital without sufficient continuity of care, support, or personalised attention. Both founders recognised a gap in high-quality, consistent, and compassionate domiciliary care services that truly prioritise the individual.

They created Miracell Homecare to bridge this gap by offering reliable, person-centred home care services that focus on independence, dignity, and continuity of care.


Leadership Team

Ohioma (Ohi) Akhibi – Nominated Individual

Ohioma Akhibi is a qualified General Practitioner with over 15 years of NHS experience, including specialist training in Geriatric Medicine. His clinical background spans urgent care, older adult health, and long-term condition management.

His vision for Miracell Homecare is rooted in clinical safety, preventative care, and supporting individuals to remain independent for as long as possible. He ensures the organisation maintains strong governance, safe care delivery, and high clinical standards aligned with CQC expectations.


Osekhae (Ose) Akhibi – Registered Manager

Osekhae Akhibi is an experienced NHS healthcare professional with over 15 years of service, including a background in dentistry and wider healthcare leadership roles.

She leads the operational delivery of care at Miracell Homecare, ensuring every service user receives compassionate, person-centred support. Ose is passionate about safeguarding, dignity in care, and ensuring every individual feels respected, heard, and valued.

Her leadership ensures that our home care services remain consistent, responsive, and tailored to individual needs.
